DESMÜD member İmaş presented its next-generation Multimilla+ Roller Mill to industry professionals at IDMA Istanbul 2026. Officially launched during the exhibition held on 25–27 June 2026, the new machine stands out with innovative features including a mineral cast chassis, direct-drive technology, and the optional i-GPC® Active Grinding Pressure Control System.
Developed by İmaş’s R&D team, the Multimilla+ is built on a mineral cast supporting chassis that absorbs vibrations up to 20 times more effectively than conventional welded steel structures. This design enhances operational stability while contributing to longer equipment life and more consistent milling performance.
Designed with food safety in mind, the machine features stainless steel product-contact surfaces, rounded internal corners, and minimized dead spaces to facilitate cleaning and support hygienic production.
The feeding system incorporates infrared level sensors to ensure precise product flow, while a feed roll rotation sensor provides an additional layer of operational safety. Standard direct-drive feed rolls improve energy efficiency and reduce maintenance requirements by eliminating conventional transmission components.
The grinding section can be equipped with next-generation torque motors that offer greater energy efficiency than traditional induction motors. The optional i-GPC® Active Grinding Pressure Control System continuously monitors grinding pressure and automatically adjusts operating conditions in real time, eliminating the need for manual adjustments and helping maintain consistent milling performance.
Maintenance has also been simplified through a range of practical engineering solutions. Fully opening front covers provide easy access to the machine, the sliding feeding unit can be removed as a single assembly, and grinding rolls can be replaced in approximately 15 minutes. The optional SmartLub® system provides centralized automatic lubrication for roll housings while enabling all roller mills within a production facility to be managed through a single lubrication network.
Combining innovative engineering, energy-efficient technologies, and a maintenance-friendly design, the Multimilla+ represents the latest outcome of İmaş’s R&D efforts in roller milling technology. The new solution further demonstrates the technological expertise and international competitiveness of Türkiye’s milling machinery industry.
