Today, we proudly and joyfully celebrate the 106th anniversary of April 23rd, one of the most significant milestones in the realization of national sovereignty. The establishment of the Grand National Assembly of Turkey marks a historic turning point where our nation claimed ownership of its own destiny. With this momentous step, the principle that sovereignty belongs unconditionally to the people was declared to the entire world.
The fact that Mustafa Kemal Atatürk, the founder of our Republic, dedicated this meaningful day to children is the strongest expression of trust and belief in the future. Our children are the most valuable asset who will shape the future of our country. Raising them as well-educated, conscious, and productive individuals will form the foundation of a strong and prosperous nation.
This special day is also a powerful symbol of our unity and solidarity. With the strength we draw from our past, it is our shared responsibility to move forward with confidence and leave a more prosperous country to future generations.
On this occasion, I extend my heartfelt congratulations on April 23rd National Sovereignty and Children’s Day to our entire nation, especially our children who are the guarantee of our future. I respectfully commemorate Mustafa Kemal Atatürk and all the heroes of our national struggle with gratitude and reverence.
